Jindal puts Obama on blast!!

I love that Jindal put Obama on blast saying the Obama was more worried about perception than the oil spill. Jindal thought that Obama was angry about the oil spill but instead he was angry about a letter that Jindal wrote about food stamp Jindal totally put Obama on blast. I think that he's one of the more intelligent Republicans so I totally understand his concerns about President Obama. But what really concerns me about Republicans is that they always express their concerns about the Obama administration but they never give suggestions or advice about how to get us out of the deficit and high umemployment so that make me believe that they are just as clueless as the Obama administration. God help us!!!!!!

What do you think about Jindal's take on what went down with Obama?

Obama freezing federal employees pay!

I totally disagree with Obama, freezing pay from federal employees will only put a small dent in the deficit. In two years the government would save $5 billion and in 1o years it will save $60 billion which is not alot since we are trillions in debt. I know the Obama administration has know control over the House and the Senate but why dont they be the first to take a pay cut. I thought leaders are suppose to set an example so why don't they take a pay cut for the greater good of the U.S but in actuality they increase their salary every year. This is ridiculous and I totally disagree the government needs to focus on things that are really going to make a dent in the deficit like social security and medicare and maybe will we can get somewhere with this mess in which they caused.

Do you agree with Obama should he freeze federal employees pay?

iting deficit, Obama freezing federal worker pay

Obama floats US govt pay freeze AFP/File – US President Barack Obama, seen here on November 10, has proposed a freeze on most government pay in …

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama announced a two-year pay freeze for federal employees Monday, and warned the American public that the move is the first of many difficult decisions that must be made to reduce the nation's mounting deficits.

"The hard truth is that getting this deficit under control is going to require some broad sacrifice, and that sacrifice must be shared by the employees of the federal government," Obama said.

The freeze would apply to all civilian federal employees, including those working at the Department of Defense, but would not affect military personnel. The freeze is expected to save more than $5 billion in savings over two years, $28 billion over five years and more than $60 billion over 10 years, White House officials said.

Congress is not covered by Obama's executive branch order. But lawmakers voted last April to freeze their pay, with the House and Senate opting to forgo an automatic $1,600 annual cost-of-living increase.

While Obama said the federal employee salary freeze was necessary to put the nation on sound fiscal footing, he also said that he didn't reach the decision lightly.

"This is not just a line item on a federal ledger," he said. "These are people's lives."

The savings from the pay freeze make only a small dent in the nation's $1 trillion-plus budget deficit. But with voters voicing their anger over Washington's spending during the midterm elections, even a symbolic gesture would show the White House got the message.

Wiki Leaks Again!!!

The U.S tries to clean up the Wiki Leaks by ordering a government wide review of how to safeguard sensitive government documents. The Obama administration said their is any federal violation Wiki Leak will be prosecuted. Wiki Leaks already released documents that put U.S government in a bad light. One document described the German Chancellor as "risk averse and rarely creative." I hope the administration does find some type of felony because I don't think the leaks are doing any good to anybody especially when it harm the safety of millions of people.

What do you think about the Wiki Leaks?

US tries to contain damage from leaked documents

WikiLeaks unleashes a flood of damaging US cables AFP/Getty Images/File – WikiLeaks released 250,000 diplomatic cables to The New York Times Sunday, most from the last three years, …

WASHINGTON – Bristling over the unauthorized release of more than a quarter million classified State Department documents, the Obama White House on Monday ordered a government-wide review of how agencies safeguard sensitive information.

Soon after, Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters at the Justice Department that the administration would prosecute if violations of federal law are found in a criminal investigation of the incident.

The weekend release of documents reflecting, in some cases, unflattering assessments of world leaders has caused embarrassment to the administration. The director of the White House's Office of Management and Budget, Jacob Lew, said in ordering the agency-wide assessment Monday that the disclosures are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

The U.S. documents contained raw comments normally muffled by diplomatic politesse: Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah pressing the U.S. to "cut off the head of the snake" by taking action against Iran's nuclear program. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi described as "feckless" and "vain." German Chancellor Angela Merkel dismissed as "risk averse and rarely creative."

Publication of the secret memos and documents made public by the online whistle-blower Wikileaks Sunday amplified widespread global alarm about Iran's nuclear ambitions. It also unveiled occasional U.S. pressure tactics aimed at hot spots in Afghanistan, Pakistan and North Korea. The leaks disclosed bluntly candid impressions from both diplomats and other world leaders about America's allies and foes.

It was, said Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, the "Sept. 11 of world diplomacy."

In the wake of the massive document dump by online whistleblower WikiLeaks and numerous media reports detailing their contents, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was expected to address the diplomatic repercussions later Monday. Clinton may have to confront the fallout first hand after she leaves Washington on a four-nation tour of Central Asia and the Middle East — a region that figures prominently in the leaked documents.

North Korea and South Korea

South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak express that North Korea will pay for their actions which to place last week. I hope this story doesn't get any bigger because the U.S is allied with South Korea and the last thing we need is another issue. Lee in under pressure to take tougher action on Pyongyang so I hope that action don't result in war because China is allied with North Korea so this situation can lead to a big mess.

What do think about the North Korea and South Korea situation and do you think this will blow over?

S.Korea's Lee: North to 'pay price' for attack

SEOUL (AFP) – South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak on Monday vowed to make North Korea "pay the price" for its "inhumane" artillery attack on a frontline island that killed four people and sparked global outrage.

Lee has come under pressure to take a tougher line against Pyongyang after his military's counter-fire following North Korea's deadly artillery strike on a border island last week was seen as feeble.

"I can't help expressing anger at the North Korean regime's brutality," he said in a nationally televised address.

"Now our people know that any more tolerance and patience will only fan bigger provocations," he said of the regime that has previously tested nuclear bombs and is blamed for sinking a South Korean warship, killing 46 people.

A day after China, North Korea's last major ally, called for emergency talks with Pyongyang, Lee said that it is "difficult to expect North Korea to abandon military brinkmanship and nuclear weapons".

His speech comes as the US and South Korean navies stage a potent show of force against North Korea, carrying out a four-day joint naval exercise led by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington.

Wiki Leaks!!!

I'm shocked that Wiki is doing something so dangerous some things do not need to be access. I agree that these leaks are endangering peoples lives. Some of the documents have information about U.S allies so this is not just effecting the country but the world as well. I understand that the American people should have a right to know what the government is doing but I don't think it should be at the expense of people lives. I think this is a situation when technology has gone to far because its invading papers that could have significant effect on peoples lives and that's not right.

Palin addresses the media about South Korea and North Korea blunder!

While talking to Glen Beck earlier this week Sarah Palin mistakenly mixed up North Korea with South Korea as calling them are allies. So she took to Facebook to address the media. "

Is Palin reality show pioneering a new era of campaigning?

Since Palin's TLC show is a hit bringing in 5 million viewers some critics are saying its a new way of campaigning. I think that could be true because the show focuses on family values which is a hardcore belief that Palin believes in. Since this is a new era of politics in which parties dont know who will be running for president a reality show could be a new way of sharing candidates views while avoiding filters. I think its a creative way for using media to get your message across since reality show are here to stay. But I still believe that just because people may have an interest in politicians lifestyles doesn't mean they would take them serious enough to vote for them.

Do you think more politicians will be following Palin's footsteps?

Princeton, New Jersey (CNN) -- Sarah Palin's new reality show looks like it might become a hit.

During its first week, "Sarah Palin's Alaska" attracted almost five million viewers, the best that a premiere has done on the TLC network.

The same week that the show debuted, there were reports that Palin was talking with insiders about a presidential run. She told ABC News that she believed she could defeat President Obama in 2012.

The launch of the show has felt very much like the start of a presidential campaign.

If this turns out to be true, Palin's reality show could be a harbinger of campaigns to come. We might be witnessing the start of a new era in presidential campaigning, where candidates take their message directly to the voters while avoiding almost any filters in the process.
